Hi all.
I am wondering if it is possible to know the time length of audio files mainly mp3s that they are in a folder. For example if i have a folder with 100 mp3s is there a quick and accessible way to know exactly how much time all these mp3s will take to play from begining to end?
If there is a way to know this i would be very greatfull to the person who is going to give me the answer and i will give 5 milion points to this person.
Thanks
thats interesting. Usually, if you try hard enough take a cd burning program and pretend you are making a cd with it. CD EX or mp3 cd doctor or some other program that burns cds usually reports the total length of minutes that are worthin music on the status bar. THis is done since audio cds can hold eighty minutes of music. Cheers
research is surely an awesome thing when done correctly. Alright, here is a nifty tool: mp3 stats calculate the length of files in any given directory and its completely free. You can get it at

Or just google it. Good luck!
Thanks for that. I will check it out.
lol, i've got about 500 mp3s and they are worth 3 and a half hours of music . Five million points sounds like a lot lol but I don't think I'd be needing them anyway since i am not that much of an active member. In the mean time you could also mess with the detail settings on the view menu or find a way to change these so that when you select the files in a folder it will show on the status bar. I know these programs might not be the most efficient way of telling you, but they surely do the task. I'll try to find quicker ways when time permits.
you can put the songs into the burn list for the heck of it, and it will tell you how long these songs would be from beginning to end. good luck.
lol thats the same thing as a burning cd software. Mp3 doctor does this. The thing is though, all of the mp3 must have high quality (I think it has to be a minimum bitrate and kbps sampling) but the status bar is the quickest way I've found.
